Your privacy - taken seriously

GDPR is the General Data Protection Regulation - a law which states (in short)  that I must ensure that any data I hold about a customer is held a) for the purposes of running my business and b) in a secure and responsible way.

Data I may hold about you could include:

  • Full name

  • Home Address(es)

  • Data of birth

  • Telephone numbers

  • Email address

  • Driving license information, including licence number

  • Medical information you have disclosed to me

Why I hold this data:

  • To check your eligibility to drive my car

  • To contact you

  • To book your driving test

  • To send you offers and marketing (which you can opt out of)

  • To ensure the safety of you, me and the public.

  • Insurance and legal purposes

I hold data of pupils who are no longer learning with me for a period of up to 5 years, mainly for my accounting purposes. After this time, all your personal data is removed from any electronic device and also from the Total Drive app.

Total Drive App

I use a tool called Total Drive. Total Drive allows me to record your personal details in a secure cloud environment which is password protected for both you and me and not accessible to the general public. The app allows both me and you, as the customer, to view your driving lesson appointments, track your payments and credits, record your progress, record test dates and store reflective logs of your learning. I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office, an independent organisation which regulates GDPR in the UK.
